Cinematic Wedding Videography Across Alberta
Beautiful, emotionally crafted wedding films for couples in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Banff, and destination venues across Alberta — documenting your day as the love story it truly is.
Alberta's Cinematic Wedding Film Specialists
Your wedding day will be over in what feels like an instant. Months or years of planning, thousands of decisions, deep emotional investment — and then a single day that passes in a beautiful blur of faces, flowers, music, and feeling. Wedding videography is your chance to go back. To hear your partner's voice breaking with emotion during the vows you can barely remember. To see your mother's face at the moment you walked down the aisle. To relive the first dance, the speeches that made everyone laugh and cry, the quiet moment between you and your new spouse at the end of the night when you finally had a breath to yourselves. BOMCAS Media creates wedding films that make this possible — films you'll return to again and again throughout your lives together.
Our wedding videography team serves couples throughout Alberta — from downtown Edmonton and Calgary wedding venues to heritage farm properties in Central Alberta, rustic mountain venues in Banff and Canmore, and destination weddings at beautiful locations across the province. We approach every wedding with genuine emotional investment in your story, technical mastery of our craft, and the unobtrusive professionalism that allows us to be fully present for every moment without ever intruding on them.

Alberta Mountain Wedding Films — Banff, Canmore & Jasper
Alberta's mountain parks are among the most sought-after wedding destinations in the world — couples travel from across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia specifically to marry against the backdrop of the Canadian Rockies. The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Silvertip Resort in Canmore, and dozens of mountain outdoor ceremony locations offer wedding videography backdrops that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else on earth. BOMCAS Media's mountain wedding videography team is experienced with all major Banff, Canmore, and Jasper venues and holds the Parks Canada commercial filming permits required for professional videography within national park boundaries.
Mountain wedding films have a distinct cinematic character — the scale of the landscape, the quality of mountain light at golden hour, the drama of peaks and glaciers in the background — that makes them among the most visually extraordinary wedding films produced anywhere. We approach mountain wedding videography with the understanding that the location itself is a cinematic gift, and our job is to match its grandeur with production quality and storytelling craft that does justice to the setting. Drone aerials — subject to Parks Canada permit conditions and weather — add a further dimension that ground-level footage cannot replicate, and we hold the Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certification required for commercial drone operations.
Multicultural Wedding Videography Across Alberta
Alberta's diverse cultural communities each bring rich wedding traditions that make exceptional videography subjects — and demand cultural knowledge and sensitivity from the videographer. South Asian weddings across Edmonton and Calgary often span multiple days of ceremony: the Mehndi and Sangeet evenings, the morning Baraat procession, the main ceremony, and the evening reception — each with its own visual character, lighting environment, emotional tempo, and ceremonial significance. Chinese, Filipino, Middle Eastern, East African, Ukrainian, and Indigenous wedding traditions each similarly require specific preparation and understanding to document with the completeness and respect they deserve.
BOMCAS Media's wedding videography team has documented weddings across Alberta's diverse cultural communities and brings genuine preparation to each tradition — researching ceremony structure, understanding which moments carry the most emotional and cultural weight, coordinating with officiants and family members, and arriving on the wedding day ready to work rather than learning on the fly. The result is wedding films that honour the full depth of each couple's cultural heritage alongside the universal emotions that all weddings share.

Frequently Asked Questions
We offer cinematic, documentary, and editorial wedding film styles, and most of our couples receive a blend of all three. Cinematic style emphasizes beautiful visuals, emotional storytelling, and artistic editing set to music. Documentary style prioritizes capturing real-time events as they naturally unfold — the ceremony as it happens, candid emotional moments, and genuine interactions. Editorial style brings a more fashion-forward, directed aesthetic. During your consultation we'll discuss which approach resonates most with your vision and tailor your film accordingly.
Deliverable lengths depend on your package. Highlight reels — the emotionally edited, music-scored short film most couples share on social media — typically run 3–7 minutes. Feature wedding films (which include ceremony vows, speech audio, and more complete event coverage) typically run 20–40 minutes. Some couples also want a full-length ceremony recording (unedited or lightly edited) as an archive. All of these options are available individually or as part of combined packages. We discuss deliverable preferences during the planning process.
Yes — BOMCAS Media films destination weddings throughout Alberta and beyond. Banff, Canmore, Jasper, and the Canadian Rockies are among our most frequent destination wedding locations. We also film in the Okanagan, British Columbia, and at other Canadian destinations. Within Alberta, we serve Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, and communities across the province. Travel fees apply for locations beyond our standard service area and are included transparently in your quote.
Your package determines the crew size. Our base packages include one experienced videographer with a multi-camera setup — two cameras running simultaneously to capture complementary angles. Our Premier packages include two videographers, providing coverage in two locations simultaneously (one capturing the ceremony from the aisle while another captures close-up reactions, for example). For large weddings at major venues, three-person crews are available. We recommend two videographers for weddings with 150+ guests or ceremony and reception in different buildings.
Absolutely — wedding livestreaming is one of our most popular add-ons, especially for couples with family overseas or out of province. We integrate the livestream directly into our camera setup so your ceremony is broadcast live to remote guests without requiring additional equipment or disrupting the atmosphere. Remote guests receive a private stream link before the ceremony and can watch live from any device. The full recording is included whether or not livestreaming is added. See our dedicated wedding livestreaming service for full details.
Standard delivery timelines are 6–10 weeks for the full wedding film and 4–6 weeks for the highlight reel. These timelines reflect the substantial editing work involved in a full wedding film — reviewing hours of footage, selecting the best material, crafting an emotional narrative, colour grading, scoring with licensed music, and producing a film worthy of the occasion. Rush delivery is available at a premium for couples who need content quickly. Same-day edit reels (a 60–90 second teaser cut the same evening) are available as a premium add-on.
